Consortium members | BIOFABRI CZ VETERINARIA NANOIMMUNOTECH NANOGAP USC Uvigo |
Description | The general objective of the project is the development of an effective vaccine that slows down the expansion of emerging multiresistant antibiotic clones, which occur among extraintestinal pathogenic E. coli strains (ExPEC strains) that cause recurrent cystitis. This vaccine should protect not only systemically (against severe sepsis), but also at the level of the urinary mucosa, preventing adhesion and bacterial colonization (first step of the infective process of ExPEC). |
